A deal with EuphRO
I have been talking to Red Mage Joe, a dev from EuphRO.
He has suggested that we could cooperate with EuphRO to allow you guys to try out your characters in an updated server (with all the new content and what not). Now, this wouldn't mean that we disappear or that your characters disappears from EarlyRO or anything. For those of you who don't know what EuphRO is you can read about them here http://www.euphrogame.com. They are a 3/3/2 server that tries to stay as close to the original content as possible. This deal would allow you guys to transfer a copy of one or more characters to their server. I'm fully aware that our servers are different in all kinds of ways, such as we being a non-transcendent server with no MVP cards and so on. Again, this does NOT mean that we are closing down EarlyRO. I personally see this as a chance for you guys to fool around and test your strengths against the new content, transcendent characters and so on. Also, this deal is in no way final. We wont be transfering any characters unless you guys absolutely want to. I would also like to point out that I'm NOT trying to force you guys and I'm NOT trying to advertise EuphRO to make us lose players or anything. What I want to do is create an as enjoyable playtime as possible for you guys. I asked Red Mage Joe to create an account here to help answer questions that may come up regarding this, if necessary. I'd like to hear your thought on this matter and give some feedback on this idea if this is something you guys would want to try out or not.

RE: A deal with EuphRO
If you have any questions at all pertaining to our server, please feel free to ask me, and I will address them as best I can with my resources. I appreciate this opportunity to work with you, the EarlyRO community, to offer a fresh new experience with the "authentic" RO. Features, both in-game and extra-game, are open for discussion, and I have no problem putting everything on the table.
I understand that some of you may be worried and reluctant about this whole discussion, however rest assured that I only wish to provide you all with the best RO experience possible. With that said, I invite you to head to our home page, download the client (we run on the RagexeRE client rather than Sakexe) and give our server a try. If you don't like it, no worries! If you do, feel free to play at your leisure. Either way, please leave any feedback you have here, as well as questions. If we are able to get in touch with Tempura, then I would have no problem transferring a copy of your character over to play around with, though in the meantime you are welcome to make a new account. Salutations from EuphRO!

RE: A deal with EuphRO
Actually, I have access to our mySQL database. I just don't have access to the "server folder".

RE: A deal with EuphRO
It's an interesting idea, though I don't know if I, personally, would use it any.
One could look at it as a "fall back" plan, for some players. Some people who just detest having to "re-farm"/lvl their chars when/if a server dies. (Not insinuating that EarlyRO is.... simply the fact that all servers /eventually/ die out.) This idea would at least allow people to keep certain chars they like, in the event that something happens sometime in the future. I play here simply because it's relaxing to play "old school" again. (Been playing this game way too many years now lol...) Anything I do on EuphRO, with the char(s) transferred, would just be less time I play on EarlyRO. (Ironically, old EuphRO was one of my first RO servers :>) Regardless if anyone leaves or not, it would simply mean possibly seeing less people online throughout the week. All in all, still interesting. Curious how other players will react. :> |

RE: A deal with EuphRO
Pretty much same for me as for Mia. I got tired of trans servers and was looking for something that reminded me of good old times on iRo and one day found Early.
So I will just play on this server till the end I suppose. Also I dont have that much time or will to spend on RO at the moment anyways to play two servers. Interesting idea though.Euph was my first private server too btw.

RE: A deal with EuphRO
Hmm, if we transferred would we just be copying our character that being said we'd have a character on EarlyRO still as well as EuphRO? And would we be able to take our items (Equipment, items, etc..)?

RE: A deal with EuphRO
Tyrant, most likely, yes.
You will keep your character here on EarlyRO. As for your "copy" on Euphro, you will most likely get to keep all your equipment except maybe for some hats considering that our "donation"/"token" hats are different from what they are there. Exactly how we will be doing with that is still a bit unknown and we'll discuss that further depending on how interested you guys are in this deal.

RE: A deal with EuphRO
I'll just play the Devil's Advocate as I always seem to end up somehow, haha.
I don't think EuphRO really ties into what Early has to offer. Euph has official-like gameplay, lower rates and nothing particularly specific to target the non-trans players [unless I've misread somewhere along the way on the website], so I don't quite understand what the appeal would be. Think I'll just stick to Early, more opinions are good though. |

RE: A deal with EuphRO
What if person has slotted sunnies for example? I mean, I have distant memory you couldnt obtain ones on euph. Atleast back then when I played, but thats like years ago I think.

RE: A deal with EuphRO
I am in general agreement with Larf at this juncture. I came here, as have many others, for the non-trans experience.
It would be a good emergency plan, but I am not up for it at the moment (: Lavvy~ ![]() Main: LavenderKimchee (WoE Priest) ![]()
