Rollback item recovery.
We will do some recovery of items lost during the rollback, the rollback will occur today (2009/06/24) and we're rolling back to 2009/06/16, so 6 days ago.
While Logic and I are in charge of the update, Doodle will take care of handling and verifying the recovery reports, however I want to make it clear that there is no guarantee. A few ground rule first: - The item you ask Doodle to recover should be worth at least 1M zeny, of course the economy varies, but use that as a guideline and don't waste his time recovering jellopies. - PM Doodle with the following information: who, how, where, what and when. Who: on what character were you when you obtained the item you want to recover. How: did you obtain an item from opb, a card from oca, or from a monster, did you upgrade something important or finish a headgear quest? Tell Doodle how you obtained the item. Where: what map were you on? What: what's the item! When: give as precise a time frame as possible for him to look it up in the logs. The more precise the report the more chance you stand that Doodle can recover it. Like I said there is no guarantee, but we will do what we can to give back lost valuables. You can start sending reports now or you can wait after the rollback to see if you notice anything missing, you'll have up to a week to send it, so until July 1st. We hope this will help ease up the inconvenience of the rollback, thanks for your understanding. |

RE: Rollback item recovery.
If we don't know the When at all anymore and you thus cannot track the items in the log, is there a chance that we will get them back? What about items bought from shops?

What about items bought from shops? I've really no idea when I got the cards that make up all of my bows. Of all my items I only know the specific day of a single one, since I used everyone playing WoE to get it from a certain MVP. |

RE: Rollback item recovery.
I understand where Anne is coming from....
Half the time I can't even remember what I had for lunch the previous day..... If you can remember anything that can help narrow down the search, though, it would help a lot. Remembering if you got it early in the day or late at night for example. I'm guessing they're look for the easiest items to find first and then do the items that take a longer time to locate afterwards. So I think they'll probably still be able to find them, just depending on the situation, just might have to wait longer for certain items. Our player-base isn't some 1~2k population, so at least, in that aspect, it will be somewhat easier for the GMs in terms of the masses of requests they will get. So if 10~15 people have tough to find items, they won't get quite as overwhelmed as if they had 100~200 people with tough to locate items. @Joker Well I would think they'd look into the ores as well, (Since they are rather tough to get and the increased rates don't affect the ability to obtain them any.) although if it was me, i'd check into a fair amount of the ores to verify you was at least trying to farm the ores and try to restore most of them, if not all. Good luck on the item searches ahead, GMs. |

RE: Rollback item recovery.
Give the timeframe as precise as you can, the more precise the more chance you have that Doodle will find it. If you're unsure if you got it before or after the 16th then wait after the rollback to check, you'll still have a week to send your pm to doodle.
Item bought from npc will not be worth 1m+ sorry. @Joker: send the report anyway, we'll see what we can do, you might have to wait till after the other recovery are done. Make sure to specify on which character you got them and if you got screenshot check them for the time (convert to server time). Atis: same as joker, if you got enough in the past 8 days to be worth over 1m. |
